Who is brian?
I am Brian, and this is my website. I hope you like the layout, I made it all myself. Former head chef to many local restaurants, hotels and bars.
These days you are more likely to find me in classrooms, on both sides of the desk! I am a full time student of Nutrition and Human Health at the University of Suffolk as well as working as a cover/supply teacher at various schools around the east of England. On top of that, I like to keep myself busy by offering myself as a freelance chef. Previous clients include: The Galley Restaurant, The Freston Boot, Seckford Hall Hotel, Snape Maltings and Fields Farm shop
I have written articles for magazines and online blogs for the likes of THE STAFF CANTEEN and other websites.
I can be found on social media via Instagram, twitter and Facebook where I can be contacted about work. I am available for private hire/freelance chef for restaurants, pubs and hotels. I also run cookery tuition classes online and private classes on a 1-2-1 basis. Moving forwards into 2023, I will be working with QUALIFIED & REGISTERED Nutritionists to deliver specialist workshops which focus more on sustainability, food cost and nutrition.
I have experience as a development chef for international brands. Writing recipes for product launches. Blog content for the hospitality sector as well as well as school visits to help educate young people on the life of a chef.
Professionally, I offer Chef Consultancy to Publicans and Restaurateurs alike. If you need planning, kitchen layout recommendations or general advice, this is something KoB can help with. I have a network of chefs from around the country. So get in touch if you'd like some help. Whether its event menu planning, pop ups or staff training, I'll be able to find you a solution.
